Those of us who regularly take in Chef Chad Scothorn’s specialties at the Cosmo in Telluride already know he’s capable of culinary brilliance. Thanks to a new culinary series at the famed Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colo., Scothorn will get to share his work in a new dining room on March 21 and 22.
Set within one of Colorado’s most iconic and historical sites and in the midst of one of the nation’s most scenic national parks, the Stanley Hotel’s Roads to Great Chefs series seeks to invite Chefs in Residence to put their skills to the test in an intimate restaurant setting.
Each chef will prepare a five course meal, with wine pairings, plus reception for a very limited group of 20 guests per night. The 11 weekend series will be held at Table, The Stanley’s new restaurant in The Lodge. It will feature the nation’s most promising chefs from Colorado and beyond. A portion of the revenue will be benefitting victims of the Northern Colorado flood.
Scothorn will be featured in the series on March 21 and 22. Other remaining chef appearances include Chef James Mazzio of The Edge Restaurant Snowmass on March 28 and 29, Bravo Top Chef Winner Chef Hosea Rosenberg on April 4 and 5, two-star Michelin winner Chef Ari Kolendar on April 11 and 12, and Caleb Shriver and Chef Phillip Perrow from Dutch & Company on April 18 and 19.
