Candy Bowers, 62, of Friday Harbor, Wash., former long-time co-owner of The

Coachlight Restaurant in Ouray, and former co-owner of The Powder House restaurant in Telluride, passed away in San Antonio, Texas, Dec. 13. The Fullerton, Calif., native succumbed after a 4 1/2 year battle with brain cancer.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert "Butch" Bowers (a Telluride native), father David Lowrey, and brother Charles Lowrey.

She is survived by her mother Jane (Charles) Walsh of Long Beach, Calif., daughter Jennifer (Gavin) Williams of San Antonio, Texas, granddaughter Emma Williams of San Antonio, and many dear family and friends spread throughout the U.S.
