It's a real shame to see the use of marijuana becoming socially acceptable.

The biggest effect of this will be on our youth. Besides the resultant increase in traffic accidents and other social problems forced on us, the proliferation will increase use among our youth. Today's youth pattern adult behaviors regardless of any laws to the contrary. The "Say No to Drugs" theme is just being turned on its head by the current promotion of drug-heads.

I beg to differ, as I believe the real shame was locking people up in prison for a behavior which caused absolutely no harm to others ... all the while alcohol (arguably a much more harmful substance on the user and others) was legal.
