22-Year-Old Englewood Man Dies at Campground Near Telluride

TELLURIDE – A 22-year-old Englewood, Colo. man visiting Telluride to attend the Telluride Bluegrass Festival died early Friday morning at a campsite in the Ilium Valley.

According to San Miguel County Coroner Emil Sante, Samuel Berenbeim died just before 8 a.m at the Marry E. Campground. He was in the company of his college friends.

According to a statement issued Monday, June 24, by the San Miguel County Sheriff's Office, "The cause of death,pending an autopsy, is believed to be from natural causes, and no foul play is suspected."

Crippin Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
