Ballots Mailed in San Miguel County Hospital, Fire District Elections

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY – The combined ballot for the Telluride Fire Protection District and the Telluride Hospital District, two San Miguel County Special Districts choosing new directors, was mailed to voters on Monday, April 16. It must be returned by Tuesday, May 8, 2012, by 7 p.m. Persons eligible to vote in this election must own (or their spouses must own), property in Telluride R-1 School District, comprising Precincts 1, 2, 3 and 6.

Voters may, however, be registered to vote elsewhere in the State of Colorado.

If you believe you are eligible to vote in this election, but have not received your ballot by Friday, April 20, please call the San Miguel County Clerk’s Elections Department at 728-3954 to inquire.

Ballots can be mailed to the San Miguel County Clerk, at PO Box 548, Telluride, 81435-0548, or dropped off at the County Courthouse at 305 West Colorado or at the Telluride Medical Center at 500 West Pacific. Both locations will be open to accept ballots during normal business hours (8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.) until the day of the election. On May 8, the day of the election, the Courthouse will accept ballots until 7 p.m.
