This is from Kathleen Erie, now officially the Democratic candidate for San Miguel County Clerk and Recorder. Today all I want to do is thank people.
Firstly, I do want to thank Rube Felicelli. He conducted an excellent campaign and I really had no idea which way the election would go.
Secondly, I want to thank people by name who gave me special encouragement and support. I will start with Josh Geetter in Telluride and Jon Bosse in Norwood. Then Susan Cheavens, Ben Kerr and Steve Kennedy and the rare medium well-done that makes KOTO such a big part of community here in San Miguel County. Then I want to thank Raine Williams, Jim Hollrah and Joy Bouverat, who wrote such good letters on my behalf. Next Jody and Steve Van Stratt, and then my enthusiastic Treasurer, Lyla Kirsch, who has been through this before and is a huge help.
Next, I must thank my husband Harry Hartman. Harry kept telling me I shouldn’t get my hopes up while at the same time telling everyone he met that they should vote for me. Lastly, I want to thank each and every voter. The margin of victory is very small, just 445 to 425. That means every vote DID count.
Thank you every one.
