I literally let out a scream last night when I heard Mike Huckabee on the news saying, "If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control, because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it."
I do believe that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone say. My response to that is: Ladies, let's “Just say No.” It didn't work for drugs but maybe it will for sex. Where would men be if we just said no? Like this is a one-sided issue. Doesn't it take two or am I just old fashioned?
The bottom line on the Affordable Healthcare Act is to provide access to healthcare for millions of people who have gone without health care coverage for decades. The ACA includes provision of birth control measures because we need to seriously do something about unwanted pregnancies. Providing birth control to all who want it would eliminate the need for abortion in many cases. When will we ever learn? We just keep going round and round the same futile issues.
Remember ladies, Just say No!
