I'm compelled to publicly thank a host of people, chief among them Kate Jones and Britt Markey from Telluride Arts and Stronghouse Studios, for their energy, time, and support over the past year, especially this winter. Thanks to their efforts and vision, a small group of local musicians have been connected with an enthusiastic audience via The BackStage series (three held so far). The BackStage gathers performers and audience for an unscripted evening of music, food, and drink at the Stronghouse Underground.

This collaborative event would not be possible without the help of a community of support, including musicians Geoffrey Alexander, Martin Ball, Johannes Beere, Rachael Brown, Emily Coleman, Michael Dow, Wes Hight, Tom Nading, Nate Prendergast, Emily Robinson, Stu Sundell-Norlin, Bryan Thames, and Tommy Wince, and generous sponsors Bottleworks, Cindy Bread, and Telluride Brewing Company.

The BackStage is only the latest great program from Telluride Arts, who are also responsible for First Thursday Art Walks and Twenty(by)Telluride. If you've not been to any if these programs, be sure to check them out this summer and become a Telluride Arts member.
