Ah Haa School Art Auction Thanks

Editor:

A heartfelt thank you to each and every artist, patron, actor, model, business owner, volunteer and last but not least staff and board member who so graciously contributed to the success of last weekend’s 17th Annual Ah Haa School Art Auction.

We could never have done it without each and every one of you.

Telluride is an incredible community that never ceases to give freely and generously.

If it’s a sunny day (or cloudy), remember to check out our incredible class offerings and put a little “Ah Haa” into your life.

Cheers,

– Josephine Fallenius, President, Ah Haa School Board of Directors

First Time Homebuyer Thanks

Editor:

Recently, I was able to purchase my first home in Telluride with the support of a wonderful local group of citizens. I would like to thank the Telluride Association of Realtors for the generous monetary gift made possible through the First Time Homebuyers Assistance Fund. I would like to thank Delanie and Shirley at the San Miguel Regional Housing Authority for their guidance and help in applying for the Downpayment Assistance program. Anneliese and the crew at Alpine Title helped make the closing process as breeze. Also, special thanks to Tom Byrne at Telluride Mortgage Company for all his hard work in getting me a great loan in these challenging times!

Sincerely,

– Louise Kirsch

Peaks Host

Editor:

On behalf of the Mountain Village Merchant community, the Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association would like to express our gratitude to Mike Hess and the staff at the Peaks Resort for hosting this month’s Mountain Village Merchant Meeting. The July meeting had the best turnout by the merchant community of any of our meetings this year and provided a great opportunity for discussions of several topics pertinent to businesses in the Mountain Village. Thanks again to Mike and the rest of the staff at the Peaks and also to the many merchants who participated in this month’s meeting.

Sincerely,

– Jonathan Greenspan, TMVOA Commercial Representative and the TMVOA staff

It’s Bye-Bye BIOTA (Blame It on the Altitude)

Editor:

The Zutler Brothers wanted you to know that after 20 years we are moving out of BIOTA this week. We will always be a part of the Telluride community, which we have had the pleasure to be part of off and on (mostly on) for the last 33 years. You will still see us around town, just not in BIOTA.

We have had so many memorable times in BIOTA, including the final and one of our most memorable get-togethers, when we had the honor of hosting Captain Jack's family before and after the all-inspiring Community Memorial.

Yes, the Zutler Brothers are sad about leaving our cherished BIOTA location, but the fact that BIOTA was always there for our community makes it a little easier for us to say adios.

Please send your favorite BIOTA memories to HYPERLINK "mailto:dmzutler@gmail.com"dmzutler@gmail.com. They will be cherished, but not published.

Bye for now,

 – Michael and David Zutler
