Ridgway High School needs and deserves a gym and music facility. Statistics show that students who participate in athletics and/or music also do better in academics and have a big step up on a successful future.
Someday Ridgway will have that place to play! We all think about dollars and cents, that is, cost and taxes.
Today it will be much less expensive than tomorrow. There is no argument that the cost of building materials will continue to increase. More important is that there is now a $400,000 grant which will go away if we don’t pass this minimal mill levy now. That $400,000 would be added to the increase in construction costs and we will all pay more if the Place to Play is built in the future rather than today.
David is right, “It is a no-brainer!”
