Since the Valley Floor fundraising success there is a different buzz in town. Have you felt it? It’s like a longtime logjam that suddenly let loose and the river’s balance has been found again.  Besides raising the many dollars to preserve the Valley Floor, our community has been drawn back together more closely than I can remember in a long time.  With this experience under our belts, we have learned how to work together, to be patient and respectful.

There are lots of important and complicated issues facing this community as we grow and change. Let’s celebrate in our hearts and minds that we have learned to use some of the tools that work when we are tackling a problem or opportunity. With a town government that offers an ethical, approachable and respectful process and residents who sincerely have the best interests of the town in mind, all of the ingredients for success are at hand.  This is Telluride, this is community!
