MONTROSE COUNTY – Y-11 Road also known as River Road between Bedrock and Uravan is closed due to a Rock Fall that was reported to the West End Road and Bridge office at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. It appears three rocks fell off of the canyon rim.

No one was injured by the rock fall.

The Montrose County Road and Bridge Department is working to clear the rock with rock breakers or dynamite blasts and advises the public to stay away from this area until the road has been cleared. They hope to have it re-opened by the end of next week. For further information on the road closure call: 970/864-7608.
