Editor:

I want to let you know of several inaccuracies in Beverly Corbell's story on Dick Fowler's passing that ran Sept. 17 in The Watch.

Our bartender is Dave Turner (not Carter) and he has been employed with the Buen Tiempo for three years.

Dick's barstool received its plaque in honor of Dick's 60th birthday seven years ago at the Buen's current location on Main Street (not when the restaurant was located in the Western Hotel).

The Buen Tiempo Restaurant is not located in the Beaumont Hotel. It is next door.

Dick's beverages of choice were a shot of Jim Beam and a cup of coffee. It was not a combined drink.

Dick's expression was "A dollar and a half, again. It's the chair rent that gets me."

And, finally, Dick was a favorite regular at the Buen Tiempo. He never demanded a thing. It was our pleasure to serve him and our privilege to know him. He will be missed forever.

Thank you,

Dee Ann Lingenfelter Nathe and the entire Buen Tiempo family, Ouray
