TELLURIDE - The rumors have been flying for weeks now, but Planet Bluegrass has finally dropped the big headliner announcement for the 40th Anniversary of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Thursday night the album sales record breakers and Grammy award winning folk rockers Mumford and Sons will headline, with Greensky Bluegrass and The Milk Carton Kids also performing that day.

Friday will offer what is sure to be highly anticipated performances by The String Cheese Incident, Dispatch and the Masters of Bluegrass featuring Del McCoury, Bobby Osborne, J.D. Crowe, Bobby Hicks and Jerry McCoury. The Saturday lineup boasts previously announced Telluride favorites Leftover Salmon and the Sam Bush Band, along with Yonder Mountain String Band and Feist. The festival will close on Sunday with Bela Fleck and Sister Chocked and the Campbell Brothers supporting Jackson Browne, Hot Rize, and The Telluride House Band. Chris Thile of The Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek will also have a special opening set to kick off the festival.

Is it festival season yet?

A limited amount of Thursday and Sunday single day passes are still available at bluegrass.com.
