MONTROSE — Two dead bodies discovered in a Montrose home appear to be the tragic ending of a murder/suicide, according to the Montrose County Sheriff's Office. The bodies — one male and one female — were discovered at 19437 Pahgre Road, south of Montrose, about 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The individuals were not related, but may once have been in a relationship, according to information police have obtained through interviews, Sheriff Rick Dunlap said. The case is under investigation.

No more information will be released until there has been a positive identification of the bodies and an autopsy, Dunlap said. Dunlap doesn't expect the autopsy to be conducted until early next week.
