letters to the editor
This letter is for all you Telluriders who spoke out against renaming your post office after General Norman Schwarzkopf. You really don’t get it you, do you?
I consider the proposed course a significant breach of the trust placed in the Council by the voters at the ballot box in 2006.
Please sacrifice five minutes of your time to remind everyone of your heart and values that make Ouray such a wonderful community.
Ouray is at a crossroads and the direction it will take is based on the answer to the question: what is beautiful?
I seriously question the direction and intent of the cognitive processes of those who now want to change the name to the General Schwarzkopf Post Office.
I would appreciate it if you could publish my letter in your newspaper so your readers could send me postcards, brochures, or anything else that would help me with my report.
I read the story about naming the Telluride Post OffIce for General Norman Schwarzkopf and it made me wonder.
The participants also surpassed the fundraising goal. Altogether, everyone raised over $26,000 for SMRC. The Roufa family, Lee, Sheliah and Kendahl, alone raised $20,000.
On behalf of Telluride's business community, thank you.
