TELLURIDE – Single-day tickets for the 2011 Telluride Bluegrass go on-sale today (Thursday, March 10), for $65, and are available at or by calling 800/624-2422.

Discount tickets for Telluride locals are available now through April 4 exclusively at Telluride Music (no phone or internet orders). Four-day passes cost $170 ($15 off the regular price) for anyone who can show proof of address in the 81435 zip code; limit, two tickets per person.

And in a warning to procrastinating Telluride locals: “We're currently on pace to sell-out of four-day passes in April (or before),” says Bluegrass stalwart Brian Eyster, who adds: “That's a month earlier than ever before.”

The final 2011 lineup includes four final additions, with comments from Eyster:

1) Chris Thile & Michael Daves, the energetic mandolin + guitar duo covering early bluegrass classics.  Says Thile: “It was important for us was to get that brother duet thing, but with this Lower East Side punk energy.” Their debut album (recorded in Jack White's studio) comes out May 10.

2) Jerry Douglas featuring Omar Hakim & Viktor Krauss.  This mind-blowing power-trio's live debut at 2010 Telluride Bluegrass, was one of last year's most intensely musical sets.

3) Darrell Scott & Friends Father's Day Gospel Hour.  Scott, currently a member of Robert Plant's Band of Joy, opens the Sunday morning with a special gospel set with some of his musical friends.

4) Joe Pug. This brilliant young singer-songwriter opens the Friday morning set.
