The Montrose Local Card program is offered free to Montrose ACT Members as a value-added membership benefit. And the card will be available free to local consumers at participating Montrose ACT Member businesses, at local outdoor public events such as Main In Motion, and by stopping by the office. The Montrose Local Card is activated online by simply submitting basic contact information via the Montrose Local Card website: www.montroselocalcard.com.
Participating businesses can access and benefit from various e-marketing and Consumer-Direct marketing services, track the success rates and other traffic reports offered to Local Card merchants, and can offer cardholder rewards and cash-back. The Montrose environment also benefits, Local Card Systems claims, because this is a more affordable and more eco-responsible way for businesses to contact their customers verses direct mailers, paper inserts and other business marketing mediums.
Ken Brengle, President and CEO of Montrose ACT, said, “It’s my pleasure to be working with Local Card Systems. Launching the Montrose Local Card concept to our membership brings a new dynamic to our mission to support, retain and enhance the success of local businesses and improve the general level of economic health in Montrose. The Montrose Local Card is also an environmentally sound and economically advantageous program for both our community and our great member businesses. It’s win-win-win!”
The Local Card Program is currently running in Vail, Colo., Park City, Ut., Monterey and Santa Barbara, Calif., and Whistler/Blackcomb, Canada. One of the many great features that sets this Local Card apart from others, according to Local Card’s press release, is that it is an international program. Card Holders can present their Local Card in any other participating Local Card city to “be treated like a local” when they are traveling, too. As the international network grows, this will become an even greater value in the Local Card.
