TELLURIDE – Laura Cook, Wells Fargo’s long-time business associate for Telluride, has been named relationship associate for Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking team in Louisville, Ky., and begins her new role in mid-September.

The public is invited to attend an Open House honoring Cook from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, at Wells Fargo’s Mountain Village store at 620 Mountain Village Blvd.

Cook joined Wells Fargo in 2002 as a business associate, working with local companies to meet their financial needs. She was a member of the Telluride Rotary Club for eight years and has been a volunteer for the organization’s signature fundraiser, the Red Ball Express, for several years. The event raises money for local youth activities including the Rotary Scholarship Fund. For five years, she has served on the board of Habitat for Humanity Telluride, organizing Wells Fargo build days and arranging for $35,000 in funding from the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation. Passionate about helping young people, Cook also serves as a mentor through the One-to-One San Miguel Mentoring Program.

“Laura has been a valued colleague, strong advocate for helping our customers succeed financially, an active member of the local community, and a great friend,” said Chris Cox, Wells Fargo’s market president for Telluride. “Though we’ll all miss her, we’re excited about her new opportunity as she continues advancing in her Wells Fargo career.”
