Darryl L. Potter, age 67, of Sandy, Utah, and formerly of Telluride, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 in Springville, Utah.
Potter was born in Telluride on March 25, 1941 to James LaVerne and Grace Marie (Collins) Potter. Potter very much loved spending many happy childhood summers on the Collins home ranch on Dallas Divide. He visited the ranch frequently as an adult. Potter had just visited the ranch with family members two weeks prior to his passing.
Survivors include his son, Darryn Potter and wife Shelly, of Spanish Fork, Utah; five grandchildren, Craig Sanchez and wife Lacy, Ashlee Preston, Hannah Grayce, and Elijah Potter, all of Spanish Fork, Utah; sister, Jeanie Reynolds; two brothers, Vale Potter and Karl Potter and wife Vicki, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; an uncle, Dee Collins, age 91, of Montrose; numerous nieces and nephews and many Colorado cousins.
A graveside burial service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. at Lone Tree Cemetery in Telluride with Rev. Tree Cooper officiating.
