In other TSSC news, Beecher Cooney (Junior Men, 16-17) placed first in all three pipe events in the United States of America Snowboard Association Southwest Colorado Series and is USASA-ranked number one in pipe in the nation (he also attempted the first-ever back-side double cork 1080 in the USASA Southwest Colorado Series slopestyle event. Hobie Plumber (Junior Men 16-17) placed first, also claiming a second and a third in slopestyle. Jack Clark (Junior Men 16-17) placed well in the half-pipe and slopestyle events, and Jonah McGee (Junior Men 16-17) attempted the first-ever double back-side 1080 rodeo in slopestyle in the USASA Southwest Colorado Series. Lucas Foster (Breaker Boys 12-13) placed first during the second slopestyle event with a perfect back-side 720; London Albrecht (Menehune Boys 10-11) took a first in slopestyle, and a first in pipe; and Logan Petrie (Grommet Boys 8-9), a rookie competitor this season, got a first in pipe, and a second in slopestyle. Riley Doyle (Junior Women 16-17) set some of the fastest times on the boarder cross course, placing first in boarder cross and slopestyle, and will attend nationals.
Freeride skiers Ian Mitchell, Cody Krueger, Owen Parker, Jake Burchmore and Will James will all attend slopestyle nationals, and Conner Overly is pending.
