As part of the inaugural Holiday Prelude season, the Town of Telluride recently hosted a holiday bonfire in Elks Park. This event could not have come off as smoothly as it did without the generous help of the Telluride Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD). Chief Jamey Schuler assisted in planning for this new event and providing the fuel.  Along with Chief Schuler, David Wadley and Sal Birrittella came out on the night of the gathering and gave Santa a ride on the fire truck to Elks Park to start the fire, then monitored the fire and doused it at the end of the night.  On behalf of the Town of Telluride, I’d like to thank these individuals and the rest of the TVFD for supporting the Holiday Prelude and for helping with this unique inaugural event.

And as a reminder, the next Town Holiday Prelude Event will be a family-friendly ice skating party at the Town Park ice rink (complete with a DJ) on the evening of Saturday, December 15th - we hope to see you there.
