Editor:

Over the past four years, Telluride has been a tremendous partner of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association in hosting the annual World Cup in snowboardcross and skicross. Every event was memorable and world class. Telluride quickly became a classic site on the World Cup circuit with a reputation of being one of the best organizers in the world.

We were disappointed to hear that Telluride has opted against hosting another World Cup but respect this decision. The entire Telluride World Cup team has worked diligently over the last four years to deliver a Best in the World experience to athletes, fans and staff, and we are proud of all the great work they have accomplished.

I have had the distinct privilege to meet scores of resort staff, volunteers, officials and more in Telluride. I would personally like to extend my sincere thanks to each and every one of you who came out to deliver several exceptional World Cups. You have all truly demonstrated what it means to be Best in the World.

Sincerely,

- Bill Marolt, President and CEO, U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association
