One of the things a yoga practice can teach is how to transform to remain in balance with all that is changing around you. The Telluride Yoga Festival itself has done the same. We now hold all our events in downtown Telluride and our headquarters is smack in the middle of downtown at the base of the gondola in Camel's Garden. Our venues are intimate, enhancing the experience of our attendees and presenters.

It is due to the support of the town and returning attendees that the festival has remained a success. As the film and music festivals, we strive to be a world class premier event in Telluride. Internationally renowned master teachers come to teach. We'll be at the elementary school, Element 52, Telluride Yoga Center, and the library.

We have some returning teachers and some new ones – a wonderful and diverse lineup of teachers. Another of the fabulous opportunities the TYF offers is the Community Classes. We will have at least seven free classes offered throughout the weekend. We also have a great deal for locals which we will reveal closer to the festival. There are classes offered for all levels of practice and plenty for those who have never practiced. There is also a volunteer program which is a wonderful way to be a part of the festival.

Yoga is for everyone and it is joining of mind, body, spirit. Physical practice with your body, asana and bhakti (devotion) chanting, and pranayama (breathing), yoga nidra and ayurveda are all offered. If your back ever hurts or you ever feel anxious – yoga is for you. Being human is the only prerequisite. Sometimes I hear people saying how intimidated they are and I just want them to know how much is offered and that you do not have to be a gymnast or enlightened to greatly benefit and enjoy some of the yoga practices – especially in the hands of these gifted teachers.

As a yoga teacher, I am especially grateful to TYF for making it possible to enhance my education in my hometown. All my students benefit from this. Many of our Telluride teachers attend the festival!

Our vendors marketplace is open all weekend at the base of the gondola. We'll share the space with the Farmers market that Friday. We're thrilled to be sharing our weekend with the Ride festival and feel that our attendees will benefit from the fabulous music offerings as well.

I am happy to provide contact info for any of the instructors as well.
