Editor:

On behalf of the Wilkinson Public Library I would like to thank the Town of Telluride and the Telluride Institute Watershed Education Project for helping our community live respectfully with bears.

The Institute’s thoroughly engaging puppet shows emphasizes living practices which ensures the safety of both bears and people. At the puppet shows, as well as during the library  “Bear Aware” Story Times, children  received coloring books, provided by the town, outlining the same safe living habits.

Due to the diligence of the Town of Telluride we are all becoming much more BEAR AWARE!
