Editor:

I would like to give a big thank you to all the people who helped me put on the film Bag It at my school last week. My classmates and I learned a lot about where plastic comes from, where it ends up and what we can do to reduce our use of plastic. My quest to make Ridgway a plastic bag-less town starts with education. I want to especially thank the Bag It director Suzan Beraza for coming to introduce her film and to answer questions. I also want to thank my computer teacher Ms. Wade and my science teacher Ms. Shoeberl for organizing the details to make the film presentation at the Ridgway Secondary School possible. A free public showing of Bag It will be playing at the Sherbino Theater in Ridgway on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.

Sincerely,

– Willow Krois, 6th grade, Ridgway
