Great Prizes From Icelantic, Zeal and Bootdoctors.

 TELLURIDE – Jib, jump and freeride to glory at the first Rail Jam of the season Saturday, Dec. 21 at the base of Village Express (Lift 4). Telluride Ski Resort is partnering with local outfitter Bootdoctors/Paragon Sports to produce the event, with skiers and riders battling it out in an open-format rail jam competition. Spectators will groove to the sounds of DJ Soul Atomic as participants compete for great prizes provided by Bootdoctors, Icelantic Skis, Zeal Optics and more.

“It is great to be working locally with Bootdoctors/Paragon to make the rail jam happen,” said Heidi Lauterbach. “Our mountain operations and terrain park teams have been excited to get this event going for the community. With a great competition venue and prizes such as skis, snowboards, goggles and more, it’s going to be an amazing event.”

Registration ($15) is on Saturday, 12-2 p.m., at Bootdoctors in Mountain Village; registrants under 18 must have a signature from a parent or legal guardian to participate. The course will open for practice,3-4 p.m. with the boys and girls ski and snowboard completion beginning immediately after. This will be followed by the men’s and women’s rounds/ with an awards ceremony in the Mountain Village beginning around 6 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in all categories. Up for grabs for first in both the men’s and women’s category of skiing is a pair of Icelantic Skis. Men’s and women’s snowboard first place riders will take home a Nitro snowboard in the competition. Other prizes are provided by Zeal Optics, Helly Hansen, Smartwool, and JammyPack and more.
