On behalf of the University Centers of the San Miguel’s Board of Directors, I want to sincerely thank all of you who attended our very successful annual fundraiser, Wine 103: A Guided Wine Tasting and Food Pairing at the Hotel Telluride on Dec. 6.

On that cold frigid night, we had a wonderful time tasting delicious wines donated by the Republic National Distributing Company with Steve Craig of Telluride Wine Mine. We were taught interesting facts about the wines with the food pairings making the experience even more satisfying. Our silent auction was a hit with all items bid upon.

We so appreciate all the local businesses and service providers who donated such incredible items – unfortunately, too many to mention here. We couldn’t have done such a terrific event without the help of Amanda Acosta from the Hotel Telluride. She helped navigate us through the many steps of putting on such an event. Also a big thank you to the local and regional media: Daily Planet, The Watch, Telluride Inside and Out, KOTO, Mountain Chill Radio and KVNF for publicizing the event for us.

Again we so much appreciate all the attendees for coming and participating in financially supporting UCSM continue its higher educational work in the communities of the San Miguel River watershed. We look forward in next year’s bigger and better UCSM’s annual fundraising event. We hope you are, too!
