The board of the Ouray County Food Pantry wants to thank all of the volunteers, donors and community for the many ways you've supported the food pantry this last year. The year held many challenges and triumphs, from having no home for the food pantry for several months, to moving into a much smaller building and figuring out how to serve our clients with less than half the space.
We are very pleased that in the three months since we’ve reopened, we have received very generous food and financial support from citizens of the community as well as from the following foundations/organizations: Weaver Family Foundation, Woman’s Club of Ouray, United Church of the San Juans, Affordable Auto Glass, St. Daniel the Prophet Church, El Pomar Foundation, Mountain Market, Ridgway Church of Christ, Billings Artworks, St. John’s Outreach, Telluride Foundation, Ridgway Elementary School (First Grade Initiated), Telluride School, San Miguel Power Assn, Inc., Massard Trust, St. Michaels Episcopal Church, Ridgway Christian Center, Old West Fruit Stand, ACME Healing, Duckett’s Market, Ridgway Community Church and Mosaic Community Project.
We are also grateful for all of the businesses that allow receptacles for food or money to be donated: The Ridgway Post Office, Mountain Market, Duckett’s Market, Citizen’s State Bank of Ridgway, ACME Healing and Lupita’s.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all of our volunteers who have risen to all of the challenges with dedication and enthusiasm, the food pantry could not exist without you. This community is generous beyond measure with their time, skills, resources and money. We are grateful to serve in this wonderful community.
