MOUNTAIN VILLAGE – The Town of Mountain Village announced last week an opening on the Mountain Village Town Council. Councilor Richard Child is stepping down from his position as councilor, “due to his work schedule and the significant amount of extensive travel it now requires,” said Mountain Village community relations manager Laila Benitez.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, Feb. 13 at noon, and council will appoint a candidate to the seat during its Feb. 20 regular meeting.
Candidates must be registered Mountain Village electors, and must have been a Mountain Village resident for at least 120 days prior to the appointment. Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest listing their full name, a mailing address, phone number and email address to email@example.com.
Candidates must also submit a full biographical information form, which is available at townofmountainvillage.com/candidate.
