The Norwood Chamber thanks everyone who made Friday, December 4th such a resounding success. Even though it was cold the community attended the events and visited the businesses throughout town. The parade by all accounts was our best ever, and Santa had quite a reception at The Livery.
A heartfelt thanks to Gretchen Wells and Patti Grafmeyer from the Town of Norwood, for all their hard work, Roudy for his wonderful wagon rides, and the Norwood Fire Department for their tours with the children around town. A special thanks to the participants from Naturita and Nucla who joined in the parade and enhanced the presentation dramatically. Curtis Odom gets a round of applause from everyone for letting the Chamber use The Livery on Friday.
Of course my personal gratitude goes to the Chamber Board for its participation in the event planning and operation (Judy Schutza, Ken Lawrence and Stephanie Williams), along with Kelly Truelock and finally Eric Brantingham, who did an incredible job proving that Santa is alive and well.
Lastly, thanks to the following individuals and businesses for participating by contributing prizes and/or by their presence in the parade. Without their assistance we would not have been able to hold this special event, which thankfully is growing and expanding each year: Costa Alegre, Happy Belly Deli, Grand Ave. Parts, High Country Motor Sports, Norwood Hardware, Town of Norwood, Norwood Inn, Norwood Fire, The Coach’s Mother, Rocky Mountain Real Estate, Sam’s Service, West End Pizza, Local Liquor, Uptown Day Spa, Pine Cone Realty, Elk Country Embroidery, Lone Cone Consignments, Clark’s Market, Plants and Things, Nucla Naturita Telephone Co., Black Bear Trading, Bruin Waste Management, US Forest Service, San Miguel Power, Paradox Fire & Ambulance, Little Maverick Trucking, 5th Ave. Grill, Gary Logan.
Happy Holidays to everyone!
