GUEST COMMENTARY

In August of 2008, the Town of Mountain Village embarked on its first comprehensive planning process to create a policy document for future decision-making that would complement the community’s desired long-term development pattern, goals and objectives. The document, once reviewed by the public and adopted by Town Council in the summer of 2010, will contain the community’s vision and strategies and policies for achieving that vision.
After more than a year since the commencement of this endeavor, the community continues to drive the planning process through the various public meetings and workshops hosted by the town. In turn, the 15 Year Plan Task Force, town staff and consultants – AECOM and EPS – have heeded the community’s call for a substantive, in-depth comprehensive plan. With much tenacity and attention to detail, the team is in the midst of delivering exactly this.
The 15 Year Plan Pieces of the Puzzle Workshop will take place Tuesday, Dec. 29, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Telluride Conference Center.
