Thanks once again Telluride and all those individuals who purchased daffodils as a benefit for the American Cancer Society! Daffodil Days was a great success thanks to your love of flowers, generosity and commitment to eliminating cancer once and for all. You made Telluride, Mountain Village, Norwood and the West End bright with beautiful yellow daffodils. You welcomed the springtime with hope, beauty and raised almost $10,000 for cancer research, patient services, education and advocacy. It wouldn’t be possible without the help of many loyal volunteers, including long time volunteer coordinator and all-around daffodil expert, Connie Coulter, our intrepid sales staff: Carol Dix, Jane Hickcox, Marilyn Siegel, Betty Favier, Robert Allen, Jeannie Greenbank, Susie St. Onge, Jill Masters, Patrice DePagter and Sue Berg, flower delivery and poster hanging expert, Steve Tindall. Thanks to the gracious and helpful gang at Alpine Bank: Chris, Danny, Todd, Alison, Audrey, Becky, Kevin, Galin, Andrew, Marianna, Valerie, Terry and Schmidty (I hope I got you all). Our Norwood sales were, once again, successfully coordinated by Cathy Hoffman of Leather and Lace Gifts and Shera Nutall. Many thanks to our dependable local media; KOTO, the Telluride Watch and the Daily Planet for the exposure. The gang at Society Conoco and Telluride Bottleworks helped with cold storage and sales, and a special thanks to the Gordon family for continuing to support Daffodil Days and insuring its continued success. This was a very rewarding experience for me and once again makes me proud to live in such a supportive, generous community. Telluride rocks!
